The Mousetrap Reviews
Tina from Liverpool,
FANTASTIC!
Watched The Mousetrap in the West end! Thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend. Lots of mystery and humour which was unexpected! A must see whilst you get the chance in Liverpool. Enjoy!
Terry Walsh from Liverpool,
WORTH THE WAIT.
Been meaning to watch the Mousetrap for years and finally watched the opening night at the Liverpool Empire. What a treat. Proper nostalgic production. Great story and some great acting from a really good cast. Go and watch it. Great night out !

BRILLIANT, TIME JUST FLEW BY!
Thoroughly enjoyed this good story told in a brilliant script packed with witticisms by a convincing and entertaining cast, held my attention throughout, I couldn't believe it had been on for over 2 hours when the story drew to its conclusion. So glad I seized the opportunity to see it locally.

MOUSETRAP

THE MOUSETRAP
Excellent cast, the detective was brilliantly played. I loved the stage setting and lighting was spot on. I had not known the story before hand all I knew it was a mystery. No, I didn't solve it, there was a few red herrings and I got it wrong. ha ha I loved it and so did my son and his girlfriend. Keep it going the theatre is a brilliant night out. Well done to all

NOT SURE WHAT YOU MEAN
My friend and I were expecting something quite different not knowing the story and were rather disappointed with the usual farce of doors open ING and people coming and going. We were also disappointed at the quality of speech, e.g Mrs. Boyle's quiet voice and the policeman rushing about so much his speech was inaudible and we missed much of what was said in the last scene. Sorry to be so picky but not sure why it's lasted as long as it has.
Gordon Nicol from Edinburgh,
DISAPPOINTING
Having heard that this has been running for 71 years, I just knew that it had to be sooo good but, unfoortunately, it was extremely disapppointing. As Audrey from Liverpool said, "policeman rushing about so much his speech was inaudible and we missed much of what was said in the last scene. Sorry to be so picky but not sure why it's lasted as long as it has." I felt that the cast were a bit lame and, the jokes were't very funny. Having seen so many Agatha Christie films and tv series which were all absolutely excellent, this was really quite a let down.
Niki from Glasgow,
OVERRATED
So disappointed. The most overrated play ever! We did have good seats and the theatre is beautiful however the drinks are a ripoff! £16.00 for 2 drinks (beer and gin n tonic)
Travis from Bristol,
DISJOINTED DIRECTION
I understand making plays accessible, but this was a mess. The first half was played as a farce, the second as something semi serious. I've seen the play numerous times and it is a classic story deserving to be told as a creepy, eerie murder mystery. This was Carry On Miss Marple, and all the worse for it. The vast were fine but it's the direction that let the talent on stage and the talent behind the writing down...
Ruth from Edinburgh,
MOUSETRAP
Very disappointed couldn't hear some of the actors bit o f a farce which never suits the Scottish people .we had to leave at the interval.
