The Very Hungry Caterpillar

The Very Hungry Caterpillar at Theatre Royal Brighton

Why see The Very Hungry Caterpillar?

In The Light Of The Moon A Little Egg lay On A Leaf...

A very special play for youngsters (and parents who remember the books), four of the children's author Eric Carle's celebrated stories are woven together in a stage adaptation that returns to London this year. Watch in awe as four cast members use an astonishing 75 puppets within a one-act play to tell the stories of the infamously peckish Caterpillar as well as The Artist Who Painted a Blue Horse, Mister Seahorse and The Very Lonely Firefly. It'll make you hungry for your childhood again!

Eric Carle's phenomenally timeless book The Very Hungry Caterpillar was first published in 1969, and has never been out of print since. An educational and interactive ground-breaker, it has won countless awards in both children's literature and graphic design, and has to date sold 30 million copies worldwide.
